I am in love love love with Debbie Bliss patterns, especially those for little ones! I started this sweater pretty much as soon as my sister told us she was pregnant, hence the soft grey color (acceptable for a boy or a girl). I have picked it up and put it down frequently, and feel pretty much cabled out at this point, but I am in the home stretch, one more sleeve, the hood, blocking it, assembling it, and then ribbing and then and done.....doesn't really sound like the "home stretch" anymore! I have to get moving on it as it is the 12 month size and my beautiful nieces first birthday is 3 weeks away. I am now kicking myself for not focusing more on this sweater and for letting myself be tempted by all the other projects I have started and completed (or not...ooops) instead of keeping focus on this project. It is made for the Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino on size 3 needles. I do live this pattern however if I ever make it again I may cast on all stitches and knit it in one piece up to the armpits, and also knit the sleeves in the round. I hate seaming, and may just recruit on of my good friends (who will remain nameless) to sew it together on her sewing machine! Its a sin to do I know, but it looks amazing, takes no time at all and everything matches up perfectly because she is brilliant! Will post the finished product if it ever happens!
